The Joint Power Authority has announced a Request for Proposal for three JPA Properties - RFP 05-08. This Request for Proposal is for the purchase of any or all of the following properties for business/office use: Buildings 3295 with 2.93 (+/-) acres, a lot at the intersection of Buckner Drive and Remount Pass of 2.27 acres (+/-), and Building 256 with 6.8 acres (+/-) are included in this RFP. Special conditions and development criteria are also included in this RFP.

Building 256 is a former Warehouse located near the corner of Lennox Drive and Federal Way. It was built in 1954 and contains 24,739 square feet with 739 square feet of office space.

Building 3295 is the former US Army Welcome Center and is located on Buckner Drive near the Anniston City Baseball Fields. It was built in 1954 and renovated in 1974. It has 2,392 square feet of office space and is located on 2.93 acres.

Proposals must be submitted by July 7, 2008, at 4:00 p.m. CST. The goal of the JPA is to select a respondent within 60 days of Proposal submissions, with a contract following within 60 days.Redevelopment activity must begin within six months of the contract date. The JPA reserves the right to change this schedule when it deems such change to be in the best interests of the JPA, as determined solely by the JPA.
