JPA Presents Checks to City, County and Schools

At its work session on Tuesday, December 12, the Joint Powers Authority presented checks to the City of Anniston, Calhoun County and the Anniston City Schools totaling $122,996.04.

These funds were collected as part of the lease payments from the Center for Domestic Preparedness and the Nobel Training Center and represents payments in lieu of taxes.

“We are pleased to be able to make these payments to our local governments,” said Dunn. “We want to thank the federal agencies for their willingness and cooperation in making these payment part of their rent.”
