A classic American romance about a con artist, a country girl, and the way that love can overcome cynicisim in even the most tired souls. Lizzie Curry, a plain farm woman seems destined to spend her life alone. When her family farm is put in jeopardy by drought, along comes Bill Starbuck, a traveling rainmaker who tries to entice Lizzie into taking a chance on him, while he promises rain for the farm.

The Rainmaker, is the classic play by N. Richard Nash that became the classic movie starring Katherine Hepburn and Burt Lancaster.
