Saturday, April 12: Some of us had the pleasure of storytelling grandparents who at once educated, entertained, and distilled experience to simple truths we still remember. "Ghost Lady" Kathryn Tucker Windham, renowned Alabama storyteller, author, playwright, and public radio personality will challenge us to discover the old meaning of "interactive entertainment" through storytelling and encourage us to take up the torch in our generation to preserve our histories and enjoy our shared experiences, entertaining us all the while with some of her own. Learn the craft from a consummate Storyteller. Adults only. CEUs: 0.15 Hours: 1.50 Credits: 1.50

Saturday, April 19: JSU Field School naturalist and beloved Alabama storyteller, "Snake Lady" Renee Simmons Morrison, will take a break from her duties hosting the 4th Annual Mountain Longleaf Festival at the McClellan historic warehouse district to teach a storytelling workshop. Known to tell a few ghost stories herself, Renee has enjoyed storytelling with the some of "best in the business." Don't miss this opportunity to learn the How-To of the craft. Open to all ages.
