Request for Proposal for three JPA Properties - RFP 05-08
This Request for Proposal is for the purchase of any or all of the following properties for business/office use: Buildings 3295 with 2.93 (+/-) acres, a lot at the intersection of Buckner Drive and Remount Pass of 2.27 acres (+/-), and Building 256 with 6.8 acres (+/-) are included in this RFP. Special conditions and development criteria are also included in this RFP.
Proposals must be submitted by July 7, 2008, at 4:00 p.m. CST. The goal of the JPA is to select a respondent within 60 days of Proposal submissions, with a contract following within 60 days.Redevelopment activity must begin within six months of the contract date. The JPA reserves the right to change this schedule when it deems such change to be in the best interests of the JPA, as determined solely by the JPA.

The Joint Powers Authority of Calhoun County is seeking a proven and experienced President/CEO to successfully implement the redevelopment of the former Fort McClellan in Anniston, Alabama, an 18,000 acre master-planned community. The President/CEO will manage and lead an aggressive business development and sales program to attract/retain new jobs and investment. Salary $100k+ and generous benefits. Fort McClellan has been awarded $200 million in federal funds for environmental remediation/clean up work.

McClellan – Land Use Control Security Officers
Matrix Environmental Services, a leader in environmental and engineering consulting services and program management, is searching for personnel with experience in security patrolling for restricted area gates, signage and regular perimeter checks at the former Fort McClellan in Anniston, AL. Requirements include High School diploma or GED, valid Alabama driver’s license, no DUI convictions, good driving record and good physical condition. Former law enforcement or security guard experience preferred, but not mandatory.
